\Finally,the Duchess of Cambridge is in labour after a week of waiting and has been admitted to St Mary's Hospital in London, a statement from Kensington Palace says.
The BBC's Nicholas Witchell says that the duchess is in the "early stages" of labour, and that she was brought to the hospital by car.
