PHOTOS Of Court Papers: Court Bans Brymo From Music Over Dispute With Chocolate City

Ex-Chocolate City singer, Olawale Ashimi popularly called Brymo, has been banned from singing unless he returns to Chocolate City.
Chocolate City has got a legal injunction against Brymo who just released his 3rd album – Merchants, Dealers and Slaves – restraining him “from recording, releasing, distributing any composition, song, musical works or carrying out any activity as a recording or performing artist through or for the benefit of any person or organisation other than Chocolate City pending the determination of the suit against him.”
Brymo left Chocolate City earlier this year, after having personal concerns about his career.
After he quit the label, he met up with his producer, Mikky Me, and together they created a new album (Merchants, Dealer & Slaves).
Brymo also signed a distribution deal with Spinlet, giving them distribution rights to his new album.
Chocolate City insists that Brymo’s contract remains valid until 2016.

Mary J Blige and Tiwa Savage reunite on stage (PHOTOS)

When Tiwa Savage went into music, she began as a backup singer for American singer and writer, Mary J Blige but they separated after a while.

Well, the two singers reunited on stage at the sisters with soul concert in Lagos last September.

During her performance, Queen of hip-hop, Mary J Blige acknowledged Tiwa’s presence and called her to join her on stage.

She further narrated how they met and worked together and then they performed a song together.

Imo State honours Miss Nigeria 2013, Akudo Ezinne, names a street after her, gives her N0.5million

Whoop!  The winner of the Miss Nigeria 2013, Miss Ezinne Akudo Anyaoha has been honoured by  the Imo State Governor  for emerging the winner of the beauty pageant.

We gathered that Ezinne was invited into the house of assembly chambers during last Tuesday’s session to receive the recognition and hon our.

The Speaker Rt Hon. Ben Uwajumogu, described her achievement as one worthy of recognition and celebration, adding that her effort has projected a good image of the Imo woman and also brought her to international limelight.

In honoring her,  the speaker disclosed that a motion has been moved for her to become the face of the state, adding that a road be named after her so that it will always be in history that one of their own won the prestigious Miss Nigeria crown to serve as an inspiration to other younger girls in the state as well as the unborn.

Alongside the adopted motion for her to be the face of Imo and naming a popular road in Owerri after her, Akudo was also presented a cash gift of N500,000.

Rihanna Was Asked To Leave Abu Dhabi Mosque For Taking 'Inappropriate' Pictures

Bad girl Rihanna, known for wearing the provocative outfits, during the weekend shared some photos of herself at a mosque in Abu Dhabi.
And in the pictures, she was dressed in a headscarf, black jumpsuit, bright red lipstick and large gold accessories. 
But today it emerged that after taking the pictures, Rihanna was ordered to leave the mosque for posing in an "inappropriate" photoshoot in the mosque, without permission.
The mosque, which is the largest in the United Arab Emirates  and can hold more than 40,000 people, released a statement on its website. 
The statement said that 'the singer did not make arrangements with the mosque's management prior to her visit and had used an entrance that is not intended for visitors...'They added that the singer stayed outside the mosque and was asked to leave 'once it became apparent that some of the photographs she took were not in compliance with the terms of the mosque.

Wizkid performs for nearly empty seats in Abuja as fans refuse to show up (PHOTOS)

The quietly publicized, Wizkid Live Abuja Invasion held Last Night.
Folks in attendance were stunned with the number of people who showed up at the concert with Wizkid the headliner with guest appearances from label mates Skales, Niyola, Shaydee.

Apparently, the show was meant to kick off at 5pm but was found empty as at 9:30pm and these are few images someone in attendance sent to me from the event centre .

Nigerian singer Burna Boy thrilled his audience at the New Afrika Shrine in Lagos early morning Monday, Oct. 21, when he performed in his underwear like the late Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
It was the close of ”Felabration,” an annual event paying homage to the Nigerian-born singer, afrobeat legend Fela who died in 1997.

Embattled Oduah Seeks Audience With Jonathan

 
The embattled Minister of Aviation, Ms. Stella Oduah, has commenced last- ditch efforts to save her job.
The PUNCH learnt on Sunday that she had used the last few days seeking private audience with President Goodluck Jonathan.
On Friday for instance, she was sighted at the Presidential Villa in Abuja as calls by groups for her removal over the purchase of two BMW bulletproof cars for her by the Nigerian Civil Aviation authority heightened.
The NCAA spent a whopping $1.6m(N225m) on the two cars which market value is N36m each.
A very reliable Presidency source, who disclosed Oduah’s visit to the Villa, said she “wanted to explain herself to the President, who like every Nigerian, was embarrassed by the media reports and the evidence of the purchase of the two cars at an outrageous sum of N225m.”
The source said, “She was here (Villa) on Friday but like you know, Mr. President was busy throughout the weekend.”
When asked if Oduah eventually saw Jonathan, he replied, “I cannot tell for sure if the minister who looked worried saw him or not.”
However, the source dismissed speculations that Oduah, who is to appear before the Senate this week over the crisis facing the Aviation industry, was at the Villa to beg the President to prevent possible sanctions.

BBC Insults Nigeria in New Article – “Abuja: Nigeria’s Unfinished Capital Built on ‘Stolen’ Land”

 

In a new article by BBC Africa writer Alex Preston, Nigeria’s capital Abuja has been described as ‘stolen land’ and portrayed in a very negative light. Read the article below:
When one of Nigeria’s long line of military rulers, General Olusegun Obasanjo, seized the land on which Abuja was to be built in the late 1970s, he could hardly have imagined that the city would remain unfinished 35 years on.
Abuja has a makeshift, haphazard feel to it: A place of bureaucrats and building sites, its streets eerily empty after the buzz of Lagos or the enterprising bustle of Kano. It is one of the most expensive cities in Africa, and one of the most charmless.

The skyline is dominated by the space-rocket spires of the National Christian Centre and the golden dome of the National Mosque, facing each other pugnaciously across a busy highway at the city’s centre.
Its other striking landmark is the vast construction site of the Millennium Tower, which, if it is ever completed, will be Nigeria’s tallest building.
The skyscraper was intended to mark Abuja’s 20th birthday in 2011. Now delayed until who-knows-when, hugely over-budget and the subject of numerous official investigations.
All the people of Abuja have to show for the billions invested in the project are two stunted fingers of scaffold-clad concrete.

Man splashes photos of his mansion online to attract ladies for marriage

Don Milisav Juan Gonzales Brzi, a wealthy Serbian bachelor who says he is 39, has been posting pictures of himself in his mansion in the hope that his wealth will lure in a lady.

 In a note attached to the photos, Don Milisav Juan Gonzales Brzi, wrote:

‘To all unmarried ones who would like to spend their life by my side and within all the beauties of my home.
‘Please look below at all the magic of my home that I have decorated with taste, perhaps just for YOU.’

The bizarre snaps have been circulating on Croatian, Bosnian and Serbian websites and have since gone viral.
In them the grey-haired singleton is seen standing awkwardly in his bathroom, ‘relaxing’ on a bed and kneeling in what appears to be a hallway.

In a recent interview with the Nigerian Tribune, Davido claims he is still in school and says all those girls who took photos with him in Bed, did nothing to tarnish his image.

He also got to talk about his music, how he rose to the top, his tattoos, the young girls he’s been caught on cameras with and his dad’s wealth.

You’ve achieved fame within such a short period of time. How were you able to do that?
God has had my back, always. It’s all God’s doing. From my single back then, He had said it was my time; and so I kept doing my thing, working hard, spending more time working on the music and sampling all kinds of sounds. That’s how it came about.
Before you became a big shot, what were those days of humble beginnings in the industry like?
They weren’t easy – having to prove that you could do this, or that you could be big and sell records, and then not having people believe you or want to take a chance.
I had some rough periods of even hungry days in the studio. Sometimes you got broke, but still just found one way or the other to pull through. I had plenty rough times.
What were your childhood days like?
I had a regular childhood. A whole lot of play and school, sometimes the play would just centre around music.
How did your dad feel about your decision to become a recording artiste?
He didn’t like it at first; but eventually a man understands a man’s need to do his thing and make a name for himself.
Did you drop out of school because you wanted to pursue your musical career?
Who says I dropped out? I’m in my third year in school.
How do you combine your music with your studies successfully? Has building a profession in music affected your studies in anyway?
It’s not been easy, but it’s working one way or the other. Being madly busy is not easy to cope with when you are studying; but it has no choice but to work out.

Kanye West brings Jesus lookalike on stage during concert

Kanye West kicked off his ‘Yeezus’ tour in Seattle, on the 19th of October by bringing on stage a man dressed as Jesus to performance his hit track “Jesus Walks”.

Kanye  got the audience laughing out loud when he jokingly asked “White Jesus, is that you?… Oh, shit!”

A few minutes later, Kanye and his female back-up dancers, bowed to the Jesus look-alike.
