The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce says Lopez is 2,500th star to be recognized on the Walk of Fame.
Lopez, 43, got her start as a dancer – a Fly Girl , to be precise, on the '90s sketch comedy show "In Living Color."
She said that her journey from the Bronx "to this moment on Hollywood Boulevard is paved with the love and support of my family and friends, the family I've created working, and of course, you all the fans."
"I feel so happy that I got to share it with my family and so many of the people that kind of were a big part of my career along the way, who really believed in me and supported me," she said. "It's been a beautiful day."

Lest my audacious boldness learn too late
What honors due become thy high estate..."
