Both had their long, similarly colored blond hair down and tousled, and each wore chic, mostly black ensembles that made them appear almost identical! (True MK&A fans know that while the sisters do look alike, they're actually fraternal twins.)
The ladies' collaboration with Bik Bok, a fashion-forward retailer aimed at the Scandinavian It Girl, includes three collections available during the fall 2013 season.  Per the retailer's site' prices range from €25 ($33) jersey tops to a limited-edition leather jacket retailing at €500 ($669). The Nordic people are loving the line so far, with several items selling out instantly.

10 Year Old Nigerian Girl, Zuriel Oduwole Makes Forbes History

Snake kills two boys during sleepover, say Canada police

The sleepover went horribly wrong.

Two boys, aged 5 and 7, were found dead Monday morning in an apartment above a pet store in a small Canadian town.

Their suspected killer is a python that reportedly weighs about 100 pounds.

Early indications suggest that a snake escaped its enclosure in the store, got into the ventilation system, then the apartment, and strangled the two boys, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said.

The owner of the pet store in Campbellton, New Brunswick, says he came upon an awful sight when he entered the living room where the boys were staying.

Hanna: Snakes find way out of anything

"I thought they were sleeping until I seen the hole in the ceiling. Everything had fallen. And I turned the lights on and I seen this horrific scene," Jean-Claude Savoie said in a phone interview with the Canadian website Global News.

Savoie said he believed the snake had fallen through the ceiling as it slithered through the ventilation system.

He said he located the reptile in a hole.

"I pinned him down and put him in a cage," he said.

Man Sets Friend Ablaze In Enugu For Dating His Mum

A father of four, Mr. Sylvester Ezema, of Akpa Edem, Nsukka, Enugu State was on Saturday set ablaze by one Sunday Ugwuoke of the same community.

The incident, which happened in the early hours of morning has created much confusion and tension in the community.
A source who pleaded anonymity told DailyPost that the victim was ambushed around 5:30 a.m when he came out to urinate.                                                                                                                      According to him, “Ugwuoke on sighting Ezema, poured petrol on him before setting him ablaze. After, he ran away and is still at large till now”.                                                                                                 He further revealed that the shouting of the victim attracted sympathizers, who rushed him to Chukwudi Hospital Nsukka, where he later died. Meanwhile, Ugwuoke was alleged to have told some of his friends that he had warned the victim several times to stop having amorous relationship with his mother.Efforts by our correspondent to get reactions from the deceased’s family proved abortive as they declined comment.When contacted, the Enugu State Police Public Relation Officer, Ebere Amarizu, DSP, confirmed the incident and said that police had started investigations to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident. “The matter has been reported to the police. While Prince William and Kate Middleton's little one is currently spending time with his parents at the Berkshire home of the Duchess of Cambridge's mother and father, he and his folks are expected to move into Anmer Hall in the coming months.

The £250,000 hamburger: First test tube-grown beef will be served in London restaurant this week

 

The world’s first test tube burger will be served at an exclusive London venue this week - with a price tag of £250,000.
The 5oz burger is made of synthetic meat grown from the stem cells of a cow.
Scientist Mark Post, from Maastricht University, believes the development could help solve problems in the meat industry.

He said 'Right now, we are using 70 per cent of all our agricultural capacity to grow meat through livestock. You are going to need alternatives. If we don’t do anything meat will become a luxury food and will become very expensive.’
A four-step technique is used to turn stem cells from animal flesh into a burger.
First, the stem cells are stripped from the cow’s muscle.
Next, they are incubated in a nutrient broth until they multiply many times over, creating a sticky tissue with the consistency of an undercooked egg.
This ‘wasted muscle’ is then bulked up through the laboratory equivalent of exercise - it is anchored to Velcro and stretched.
Finally, 3,000 strips of the lab-grown meat are minced, and, along with 200 pieces of lab-grown animal fat, formed into a burger.
The process is still lengthy, as well as expensive, but it could take just six weeks from stem cell to supermarket shelf.
His work is funded by the Dutch government, as well as an anonymous donation of 300,000 euros - but it remains to be seen, however, whether the pioneering development will find favour with a public that likes to think of its chops, steaks and sausages as having their roots in nature, rather than in test-tubes.
He first attempts involved mouse burgers. He then tried to grow pork in a dish, producing strips with the rubbery texture of squid or scallops, before settling on beef.

His burger consists of about 20,000 thin strips of cultured muscle tissue.
The cell-grown burger is produced with materials — including fetal calf serum, which used to grow the cells — that will eventually be replaced by materials not orginating from animals, the New York Times reported.

In-vitro meat or cultured meat is an animal flesh product that has never been part of a complete, living animal, and is quite different from imitation meat or meat substitutes, which are vegetarian foods made from vegetable proteins like soy.
Scientists say that it is possible the meat will be sold to the public within ten years.
It also reduces the amount of feed, water and fuel needed to produce beef.
Every kilo of meat requires 10 kilos of plant feed and oil, but cultured meat would only need two.
According to the Food and Agricultural Organisation we will be eating twice as much meat as we do now by 2050.
Each individual in Briton eats on average 85kg meat a year.
Professor Post added: ‘It comes down to the fact that animals are very inefficient at converting vegetable protein into animal protein. This helps drive up the cost of meat.’
It is thought that the new form of meat could be acceptable to vegetarians, and animal rights organisations have already given their approval.

Peta spokesman Ben Williamson said: We do support lab-grown meat if it means fewer animals are eaten. Anything that reduces the suffering of animals wold be welcome.’
Peta also runs a competition offering a $1million prize for the person who invents an artificial form of chicken meat.
Oxford university scientists said in 2011 that cultured beef would need 45 per cent less energy that natural beef.
They added that it would require 99 per cent less land than regular livestock and produce between 78 and 95 per cent less greenhouse gas.
But, the difficulty may be persuading the public to eat an artificial product.
Professor Post said that it is possible to add fatty tissue and nutrients to it, changing the taste and making it more palatable for the public.
But before it became commercially viable, the Food Standards Agency have said that they would have to provide evidence showing it is safe for the public to consume and nutritionally equivalent to regular meat.
